In a high-pressure world filled with digital and other forms of distractions, finding solace in analog activities has become a precious commodity. For me, my notebook has become more than just a collection of doodles; it’s a sanctuary for my mental health. Through its pages, I’ve discovered countless creative outlets that provide breathing space from the chaos of everyday life. In this article, I’ll dig into the various ways I make use of the power of a simple notebook that helped me to process my thoughts, healed my inner child, nurture my well-being and cultivate my creativity.

I am an over-thinker and I always need to write down my thought otherwise, I wouldn’t feel very centered, I wouldn’t be able to stay in the moment now give my full attention.

Beyond words, my notebook serves as a canvas for visual storytelling. This is something new to me. I have been journaling since I was a child but to start using sketches, stickers , washi tapes, receipts, doodles, do collages that make me immortalize moments that resonate well with me. From picturesque landscapes to mundane everyday scenes, each page becomes a snapshot of my life’s tapestry, reminding me to find beauty in the ordinary and a very strong manifestation partner.

After few months this took a total spin off and became another creative outlet for me. Now I stopped buying birthday cards and I even create my own invitations, birthday presents, cellphone cases and even birthday souvenirs.

My life experiences and poor life choices has made me depressed and unappreciative of the good things in my life but my notebook continues to teach me not just how to release my negative thoughts and rants but also count all the things I am grateful for. This is a very effective way for me to calm my nerves and raise my vibration again. Recalling all the things that I am grateful for never fails to lift my spirits.
